AccuSource Solutions joins Safeguard
April 23, 2012
DALLAS, TX – Safeguard Franchise Systems, Inc., today announced it has closed its latest conversion transaction with Carrollton, TX-based AccuSource Solutions, Inc. The conversion of AccuSource becomes the largest conversion transaction completed by Safeguard in 2012 in terms of annual revenue. It is the second-largest in Safeguard’s 55-year history.
“We’re extremely excited to have an organization like AccuSource join the Safeguard family,” said R. Scott Sutton, CFE, Vice President of Franchise Development for Safeguard. “AccuSource has been a leader in its market for over 30 years and will bring to Safeguard an amazing amount of talent, experience, drive and success.”
Founded in 1980, AccuSource has distinguished itself as a leading resource to the banking and financial industries for over three decades. The company’s ground-breaking software, called Expense Management Program (EMP), has relieved the industry of the inefficient task of purchasing and distributing marketing materials and consumables.
“We made the strategic and exciting business decision to align our organization with the growing Safeguard network,” said AccuSource President and CEO Mark Wood. “This decision means we can leverage Safeguard’s vast capabilities to offer new products and services to customers and grow organically as well as through business acquisitions.”
AccuSource brings four facilities ― located in Dallas and Lubbock, TX; Denver, CO; and Birmingham, AL ― to Safeguard. It becomes Safeguard’s largest distributor in the state of Texas and in the entire Midwest.
“AccuSource and Safeguard are well-aligned in focus, strategy and culture,” said J.J. Sorrenti, President of Safeguard. “They are both focused on providing the leading services and products to a multitude of customers, many of which operate within the community banking segment.”
Deno Scoular, Safeguard’s Director of Franchise Development, noted that AccuSource’s customer loyalty is an impressive factor associated with the company’s success. “They are an excellent fit with Safeguard's customer-service philosophy,” Scoular said. “We are proud they have joined forces with us.”
With a national presence in a variety of industry verticals, Safeguard’s marketing, sales, customer service and back office support can help distributors focus more time on developing strong customer relationships and potentially less time on the administrative functions that can deplete valuable, sales-generating time with customers.
“Nothing compares to Safeguard’s innovative business acquisitions and mergers program,” said Wood. “As an independent distributor, we can become a franchisee but also maintain our independence and core principles. Working with Safeguard equips us with stronger support systems, new capital and new ideas to continue growing our business.”
Many independent print, promotional products and related businesses are aware of the business development advantages Safeguard delivers. An increasing number of independent distributors continue to show interest in aligning their enterprises with Safeguard through the execution of distributor agreements.
“The conversion strategy we’ve deployed is gaining significant momentum,” said Sutton. “With our support and growth-focused initiatives, choosing to convert to the Safeguard model has been a natural progression for many of the dynamic and focused companies that have joined us.”
For more than 55 years, Safeguard, through its network of distributors, has provided the products, services and expertise needed by business owners to help their businesses grow. Through innovation, dedication and a commitment to quality and integrity, Safeguard has transformed itself from a small check printing business to a fully diversified business solutions enterprise affiliated with the Deluxe Corporation (NYSE: DLX). Safeguard distributors enjoy a proven and efficient business model that allows the opportunity for each to achieve professional and personal success.
